Children’s Worst Nightmares by Joshua Hoffine

This is fucking incredible

Can we talk about how the cubes on the last pic spell “Daddy no”

I remember the release of the last image, a few some odd years ago, on DA. It caused quite a rabble, the artist explaining that not all monsters are from a child’s imagination.

“Actual conversations with my 2 year old daughter, as re-enacted by me and another full grown man - Episode 1”

Oh my GOD

This is very true to my experience.

you know what you could have instead of children?

  • a nice house
  • a nice car
  • really nice shoes
  • diamonds
  • open weekends
  • vacations that aren’t “child-friendly”
  • nice things in general
  • basically whatever you want because children are expensive and material things don’t grow up to resent you

It’s actually really disturbing that kids falling asleep in school is viewed as them being lazy and not as the school overworking them to the point that they literally can’t stay awake.

Study shows watching TV boosts self esteem of White male children, decreases self esteem of Black male and all female children. (x)

Boys making the transition from elementary to middle school are probably exposed to superhero cartoons, Jordan said, adding, ” ‘Superman,’ ‘Batman,’ X-Men.’ The lead characters of these shows tend to be male.”
But Jordan added, “In recent years, creators of children’s programming have worked hard to improve diversity and include strong female characters.”
For white boys, “regardless of what show you’re watching … things in life are pretty good for you,” Martins, an assistant professor of telecommunications at Indiana University Bloomington, said in a statement. “(White males) tend to be in positions of power; you have prestigious occupations, high education, glamorous houses, a beautiful wife, with very little portrayals of how hard you worked to get there.”

#study shows existing on this planet boosts self esteem of white male children/decreases self esteem of black male and all female children

In other news, water is wet.
But, children don’t see color, doe’.

A gender-neutral third-person pronoun has arisen spontaneously as a part of kids' slang in Baltimore

queerandpresentdanger:

What’s also interesting about the kids’ language is that people — mostly academics — have been trying to introduce a gender-neutral singular pronoun into the English language for about 200 years, with very little success. And then a group of kids in Baltimore just make one up and start using it.”

Daisy's Dark Side: Parents in the Age of Information

daisysdarkside:

I think I’ve figured out why people have such a hard time with the internet life. It all comes down to old notions of proper living and the taboo culture.

When my parents became parents I’m certain that they knew about and maybe enjoyed some taboo thoughts. I know my dad had playboys and…
